Jeremy Palmer

Jeremy Palmer is Chairman at PhysicsX. He is a highly experienced leader who has driven growth and transformational change in global firms as well as early-stage, agile technology companies.

Jeremy was CEO of QuantumBlack and a Senior Partner at McKinsey. He led QuantumBlack through its acquisition to McKinsey, its scale-up to over 1000 practitioners globally, and directed its asset engineering arm, QB/Labs, from its inception to more than 200 engineers.

Jeremy brings his energy for developing and scaling high-performance organizations and a long track record of nurturing the highly collaborative, fast-learning cultures and ways of working that sustain them.

He also brings deep enterprise capability-building expertise across machine learning and digital, having architected some of QuantumBlack’s most iconic and long-lasting client partnerships.

Jeremy has also had a distinguished career in finance, during which he held senior leadership roles in Europe and Asia at Salomon Brothers, JP Morgan, Barings/ING and UBS. He advises, mentors, and invests in many early-stage creative and technology businesses and their founders, and is also very active in education and the arts. He is currently Chairman of Day One Trust, which prepares young people for careers in the creative industries, and is Treasurer and Trustee of The Art Fund, the UK’s national charity for art. He started his career in the UK military.
