London, UKMay 19, 2025 — PhysicsX, a pioneer in physics-based AI for engineering and industrial applications, today announced its collaboration with Microsoft as a featured launch partner for the Microsoft Discovery platform, unveiled at Microsoft Build. This transformative initiative redefines the frontiers of science and engineering by integrating intelligent agents, domain-specific AI models, scalable infrastructure, and custom and proprietary datasets.

This collaboration represents a foundational shift in engineering, advancing beyond incremental tools to an integrated technology stack built for speed, scale, and high fidelity. Together, PhysicsX and Microsoft are reimagining every phase of the engineering lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, testing, and operations. The combination of physics-based AI models and agentic frameworks enables continuous, intelligent exploration of design spaces, rapid experimentation, and closed-loop optimization, from concept to operation at enterprise scale. Rather than automating legacy workflows, we’re re-architecting the engineering process itself, dramatically compressing traditional development timelines and unlocking capabilities that redefine what’s possible.

Central to the collaboration is the integration of PhysicsX’s AI-powered simulation platform with the Microsoft Discovery platform, providing enterprise-grade engineering tools that are grounded in physics foundation models and AI-driven agentic automation workflows. The result is a new generation of intelligent systems, where agents can design, simulate, evaluate, and iterate continuously and at scale, with a human in the loop as appropriate. For organizations across automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, energy, consumer electronics, and beyond, it means faster innovation cycles and a more efficient path from digital design to real-world performance.

“The Microsoft Discovery platform represents a seismic shift in how AI can accelerate scientific discovery and engineering," said Jacomo Corbo, CEO and Co-Founder of PhysicsX. Through our collaboration, we’re bringing together the scale and enterprise capabilities of the Microsoft Discovery platform and PhysicsX’s physics AI foundation models, enabling customers to unlock new levels of automation, optimization, and performance. This is about transforming how complex physical systems are designed, built, and operated across advanced industries — in aerospace & defense, semiconductors, minerals and materials, energy, and automotive. Together, PhysicsX and Microsoft are building the software infrastructure that will define the next era of engineering.”

“This collaboration with PhysicsX exemplifies our commitment to empowering engineers with next-generation tools that blend scientific rigor with AI-driven agility,” said Aseem Datar, VP, Product Innovation at Microsoft. “By integrating PhysicsX’s simulation intelligence into Microsoft Discovery platform we’re empowering organizations to leap from idea to implementation with remarkable speed and precision. This collaboration is reshaping the innovation process itself, enabling scientific discovery and engineering breakthroughs at enterprise scale across industries.”

Alongside select early access customers, Microsoft is already applying this technology to accelerate the development of its next-generation hardware products. The integrated capabilities are poised to unlock high-impact use cases across the engineering spectrum — from advanced cooling system design to digital twins — driving performance, shortening development timelines, and enabling real-time process optimization.

As the demand for technology innovation and scientific discovery continues to accelerate, PhysicsX and Microsoft are delivering the infrastructure required to keep pace, empowering engineers to tackle previously intractable problems and bring the next century of innovation into the next decade.
